Most people who wear glasses can wear contact lenses too… and for the cost of a coffee each day, contact lenses can offer you great opportunities to change your look and freedom to enjoy sports and other activities.

We are skilled in finding and fitting the right contact lenses for almost anyone, includling those who are:

  • longsighted
  • short-sighted
  • using multi-focals
  • have astigmatism.

Contact Lens Options

There are many options for contact lenses to cater for how often you plan to wear them, if you’d like to be able to sleep in them, your visual needs and budget.

Options include:

  • daily disposable contact lenses
  • daily care contact lenses
  • sleep-in, extended wear contact lenses
  • multi-focal contact lenses
  • contact lenses for astigmatism.

Eye Health Assessment

Before being fitted for contact lenses, we will assess the health and wellbeing of your eyes to determine is contact lenses are suitable for you.

Contact Lens Fitting

Once our optometrist has determined if contact lenses are suitable for you and the options available, your eye measurements will be taken. We will recommend a contact lens for you and give you an opportunity to trial them over a few days before you commit to purchasing a supply.

Contact Lens Training – Insertion, Removal and Care

Soon after your contact lens fitting, one of our team will train you to insert, remove, and care for your contact lenses. We will also explain the replacement schedule recommended by our optometrist. We will continue to support you until we’re satisfied that you can do it on your own.

Return Check

One month after you received your contact lens training, you will be required for a follow up appointment. Our optometrist will check the fit and your eye adaption and answer any questions you may have. Appointments from here will be organised if required.

As contact lenses are placed in direct contact with your eyes, they must be cleaned and disinfected regularly. Contact lens wearers need more frequent eye examinations, at least once every 12 months.

Your benefits

Depending on your spectacle prescription, Medicare may cover the cost of your assessment and fitting.

Contact lenses can be claimed through your Private Health Insurance.
